Shelby County Republicans Net Gain County Board Seats
11/5/2008
Shelby County voters in the 2nd and 6th County Board districts voted to elect new representatives in Bruce Cannon and Dale Wetherell. Both Bruce and Dale defeated long-time incumbant democrat board members, with Dale defeating the current board vice-chairman.
This helps solidify a republican presnce on the board to help secure an end to deficit spending, bigger local government, and a push for higher taxes.
Bruce brings a lifetime of experience in the financial industry, and Dale brings a perspective of a small business owner and entreprenuer - both Dale and bruce will be a great asset to the board and look forward to serving the citizens of their districts and the county as a whole.
